Leadership development consultants Modal, came to Davies BDM with a reputation as a leader in optimising team performance.
Recognising it needed help to clearly define and communicate its brand value proposition, reframe their service offering. Modal’s directors also recognised they needed a structured sales approach to increase their close rates without compromising their value.
With a 20 years history and long-term clients including BHP, Rio Tinto and Metso Modal had a proven team, and wanted help to leverage and communicate its unique high-perfomance teams approach and track record of delivering a measurable impact for clients.
With the ultimate goal of clarifying the Modal message and redefining its impact driven-service which delivers a measurable impact from their work developing high performance leaders and teams.
Solution
Through a deep dive into the business, a series of workshops, one-to-one interviews with Modal’s team and analysis of the competitive market, we developed a strategic apporach to reposition Modal.
With Modal’s target market clearly defined, we worked with Modal to develop a two-pronged approach focused our efforts on on had on their brand, messaging and marketing positioning as one stream
while also looking to Modal to clarify and redefine Modal’s service offering and how services are communicated to its existing and future clients as uniquely modal and easy to understand.
Results
A new brand strategy was developed that shifted the focus from the work Modal delivered to he qualifiable impact Modal’s work had on it clients business
delivers to the success of the organisations they work with – in the form of quantifiable measures such as customer and team satisfaction productivity that could be measured against traditional business metrics such as increased profit, reduced costs and staff retention, productivity.
The aim was to show how Modal’s partnering model delivered tangible results, and its approach of co-designing team development rather than a transactional relationship was better.
Davies BDM also worked with Modal to develop a refined service framework and collateral that helped communicate its impact-driven focus on building high-performance leaders and teams.
The framework removed percieved complexity and allowed every member of the Modal team to effortlessly communicate Modal’s full suite of services and how they can be applied at every level of the organisation from the CEO and C-suite all the way through to frontline staff.
In support of this, we then developed a marketing action plan that provided Modal with a top-level plan of marketing actions to support the brand refinement and launch of the Modal A3 explainer.
